The objective of the project is to utilize water resources for electricity generation through the installation and operation of 2 units of 25MW hydro turbine generators. The installed capacity of the project is 50MW. The electricity supplied to the grid is sold to Yunnan Provincial Power Grid, an integral part of the South China Power Grid. The project helps reduce GHG emissions generated from the high-growth, coal-dominated power generation. And also, it contributes to sustainable development in the region by reducing pollution, creating employment opportunities, promoting the local tourism industry and improving the living standard of local people.
